"In cooperation with the project partners we will investigate the potential of the strategies described above to reduce the calf problem and further develop them.
Therefore, we will evaluate quantitatively and qualitatively:

the adoption potential (including implementation, acceptance, and barriers) of the strategies for animal husbandry and breeding in organic farming
the market potential (including consumer acceptance, purchasing behavior and volume of sales) of ethically produced organic products

Scientific, technical, practical, economic and political aspects of the solution strategies are taken into account.

For the participatory development of strategies with farmers, consumers and market actors, the project will be conducted in the organic model regions of Ravensburg, Biberach, Hohenlohe and Freiburg. The expected results should provide answers to the pressing question of how to design an ethically acceptable strategy for sustainable development of the sector in line with the principles of organic farming.
