The project supports the UNFCCC’s work on assessing the impacts of climate change response measures by developing a comprehensive case study for Ghana. Using economy-wide modelling tools, the study evaluates the economic, social, environmental, and sustainable development implications of both international and domestic climate policies. The project includes data aggregation, global and national policy simulations, development of user-friendly modelling interfaces, capacity-building activities for Ghanaian experts, and dissemination of findings through training and peer-learning events. The project aims to strengthen national and international understanding of response measures, support evidence-based climate policymaking, and contribute to the implementation of Ghana’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
